Selamat datang!

Welcome to the site of Bahasa Indonesia at the University of Colorado at Boulder. 2010-2011 will be the last year that CU offers Indonesian language classes. Students can still take Indonesian to fulfill the foreign language requirement, however. Here is how:

Fall 2010:
Beginning Indonesian: INDO 1010 and INDO 1020 (10 CR)
This is an accelerated Beginning Indonesian. In the first half of the semester students will complete 10 lessons, and in the other half 7 lessons. The class meets 5 hours per week, with additional online homework to complete every week. Indonesian is an easy language to be conversant in. Students will learn how to converse in Indonesian, write in formal Indonesian, listen to Indonesian music, and chat with native speakers on and off campus. There is a monthly Indonesian Potluck on campus as well where students meet with the other Indonesian speakers and taste Indonesian food.

Spring 2011:
Intermediate Indonesian: INDO 2010 (4 CR)
This is a continuation of INDO 1020, and will be the third semester of your foreign language requirement. If students are interested to study the language further, there are summer fellowships available both in the U.S. and in Indonesia (See Fellowships on right).

The other levels of Indonesian offered as follows at CU:

Advanced Indonesian: INDO 3010 (3 CR)
